"The trustees of BIST have identified a potential site for a secondary boys school which is in close proximity to Andalusia Academy. We are inviting prospective parents to fill in an application form for entry into Yr 7 2012. The school will open with just Yr 7 and then grow incrementally, insha'Allah. In order for us to set up the boys school we will need at least 20 applications by no later than February 2012, insha'Allah. The school has set a standard number for admissions based on the provision of providing quality. The school has a one form entry and class sizes have a maximum of 24 children per year group. This is believed to be an effective class size to enable the teacher to give each child individual attention. In order for your child to enrol into Andalusia Academy a number of procedures take place. In summary the process is as follows:
Stage 1 Application Form. DEADLINE for Primary and Secondary applications for September 2011 has passed. There are however some places in the upper school for Yr 9 and 10. Admission for Reception and Yr 7 Sept 2012 is now open! The deadline for this is the end of February 2012.
Stage 2 Applicants will be asked to fill in a questionnaire and be invited for an interview with the Headteacher. Candidates entering Yr 7 will be invited to sit entrance exams on Sat 10th March between 8.30am-1pm.
Stage 3 Successful applicant is offered a place or put on a waiting list until a place becomes available.
Stage 4 Admissions are processed and a start date given.
