HEADTEACHER

Required for April 2012 (negotiable start date)

 

Andalusia Academy Bristol is an independent co-ed primary school and a secondary girls school in the heart of city of Bristol and is run by Bristol Islamic Schools Trust (BIST). There are currently over 250 pupils on role and our primary school is heavily subscribed. The trustees are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced inspirational leader to build on past successes and lead the future development of this thriving community school. This includes the development of a boys’ secondary section starting in Sept 2012.

The successful candidate will:

 

·        be committed and enhance the ethos of the school which is to provide high quality education in an Islamic environment;

·        be a passionate educator dedicated to ensuring that every child is achieving his or her full potential and will build on the school’s achievements;

·        have at least 3 years senior leadership experience as a head teacher or deputy head teacher with a proven track record of team management;

·        be able to inspire, challenge, motivate, and empower others to carry forward the strategic vision of the trustees ;

·        have a track record of positive partnerships with governors/trustees, parents, local schools, and the wider community;

·        possess the skills to promote excellence in teaching, learning and student achievements;

·        have effective communication skills across the whole school and wider community.
